Quilted Cleve & Climbing Ivy

December 1st is the 25th annual World AIDS Day, but several years before the first global observance, activists like AIDS Quilt founder Cleve Jones were sounding the alarm about the coming crisis. He described the era to This Way Out's Steve Pride.

There are happily more lesbians and gay men with us who bring a historical perspective to their present activism. Veteran lesbian-feminist agitator Ivy Bottini shares some lessons learned with This Way Out correspondent Abby Dees (produced with Steve Pride, the conclusion of a two-part interview).
